When you step into a bunkhouse room at The Downtown Clifton, you step into the swankest bunkhouse this end of a trail ride, appointed in mid-century hip with all the modern amenities. Our eclectic, electric western vibe is made uniquely Tucson with in room craftsmanship and curated art.
These rooms feature king beds on wooden platforms, handmade here in Tucson, that complement the original wood beam ceilings. Saddle blanket bedspreads serve as a cheeky contrast to polished concrete floors and point to the splash of color that each bathroom hides in its original 1940s tile work. Each room has a desk and a 42 inch high-def flat screen smart TV that streams Netflix or Hulu Plus as well as live tv. Each bathroom has a bathtub and large closets hide a refrigerator, blow dryer and extra amenities. On a lazy summer night, leave your room door open and enjoy the cool breeze wafting through the vintage screen doors.

Our señorita rooms are an elegant accompaniment to the original bunkhouse rooms and feature upstairs and downstairs rooms. The downstairs rooms speak softly to the original rooms with the same concrete floors and exposed brick walls to lend warmth. The 10 rooms upstairs feature floor to ceiling windows offering a sweet peek into into the historic barrios surrounding the hotel, and rooms 29 and 30 feature spectacular views of A Mountain to the west.
All 22 rooms have queen beds on graceful, hand painted, locally made platform bed frames, in-room refrigerators and 42 inch high-def flat screen smart TV that streams Netflix or Hulu Plus as well as live tv. The bathrooms feature a floor to ceiling tile wall and hand painted, hand crafted wood vanities that mirror the design of the beds. These rooms also have spacious sitting areas where you can read a book or relax with a drink from our Red Light Lounge.
